Bio

Dr. Santiago grew up in Long Island, NY where her own pets and volunteer time at local rescues, fostered her love of animals. She received her Bachelor of Science at Newburgh’s own, Mount Saint Mary College. She pursued her degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, housed on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. She returned to the United States for her clinical year at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University and has since, settled back into the Hudson Valley. While she loves to care for all animals, she has a special interest in birds and exotic pets. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Society, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians

​She shares her home with Artemis and Venus, her Doberman's, Arthur the ferret and Lulu the Pineapple conure. In her spare time, she can be found hiking local trails, painting, or enjoying a good book.
